Rat Extermination Service
Rats are medium sized rodents that infest Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego county homes in search of food, water and a safe place to breed. They often invade homes during extreme shifts in the weather. They are also common pests for homes near large open spaces or newly built homes. Rats are similar to mice in that they are scavengers that have evolved to live off human scraps. They often leave grease trails because their bellies and tails drag.
Infestations of mice can bring other unwanted pests like bed bugs, fleas and mites. They can also spread diseases like Hantavirus and plague through their droppings and urine. Rats are prolific breeders. The gestational period for rats is only a few weeks and a female rat can have up to 200 babies in a year. They will chew through wires, insulation, boxes, drywall and a variety of every day household items to build their nests in attics, garage spaces and sheds.
Rat Removal
When exterminating rats, we will begin the process by sending a professional, state-licensed and certified technician to inspect your property and determine the extent and location of the infestation you're experiencing. Once the source of the infestation is identified, we will customize a treatment plan based on your needs and budget. We eliminate mice using a combination of baits, glue boards, traps and exclusion services. The baits and traps will be placed in areas that are out of reach to pets and children. After the initial treatment, we recommend beginning a regular treatment plan to keep mice out all year long. Depending on your property, severity of the infestation and your budget, we offer ongoing rodent control services on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis. If you see any rats between regularly scheduled treatments, we will come back for free to eliminate the infestation.
Rat Sanitization & Deodorization
After removal, the area is sanitized to remove any contaminated materials within the structure. When pests breach into interior voids of structures such as attics, ceilings and walls they leave behind fecal, droppings, urine, nesting material, birthing material and other forms of defecation, ectoparasites and bacteria. These contaminations must be removed along with the soiled insulation to ensure occupants are not contracting disease and infection. We'll remove contaminants, soiled insulation, deodorize, sanitize the area and then install fresh insulation to completely restore the area.
Rat Exclusion & Repair
In addition to rodent extermination, Nexgen Exterminating has a full team of home repair specialists as well. Once the rodents have been removed and the affected areas have been sanitized, the process repairing any damage begins. Your technician will find all points of entry rodents are using to get in. We'll seal off entry points, gaps and crevices to ensure future rodents don't make their way back in. Our team will repair damaged insulation, wires, inspect and repair HVAC duct work and any other damage your building has sustained.
